Raids
A raid is a hostile incursion onto another Faction's territory. Raids are not stealthy. They are openly violent. The defenders will know you are there and will try to stop you. The reason for the raid can vary:
- Theft of resources (food, pelts, treasures, other materials, etc)
- Kidnapping or rescue of specific targets, slaves, pups, prisoners, etc
- General hostility, destruction, or warfare
- Territorial disputes
Starting a Raid
- A raid can be authorized by a High Rank or above.
- The character authorizing the raid must notify Staff of the IC date and sub-location of the upcoming raid.
- The IC date and sub-location of the raid will be announced in discord.
- After a raid is announced, it's assumed the attacking Faction hears of the upcoming raid in-character.
- The attacking Faction will have 48 hours to post their raid thread(s) in the sub-location of the raid.
- All raid threads must be dated for the same IC day, in the same sub-location.
- Raid threads must be posted in #thread-tagging in discord and clearly stated it's a raid thread.
- Raid threads must also label the thread title as [RAID].
During the Raid
- After a raid thread is posted in the sub-location, all parties will have 48 hours to join that specific thread.
- Characters can't be in multiple places at once: they can only join 1 raid thread, regardless if they're attacker or defender.
- Attackers and Defenders will fight using normal combat rules.
- Characters can attempt to flee from a raid.
Ending a Raid
- A raid thread ends when one side has no one able to fight.
- Raids are not winner-take-all. Each thread has its own results.
- Any character (not incapacitated or captured) remaining at the end of the raid thread is considered the winner.
After a raid is finished:
- The attacking party cannot start another raid for 2 OOC weeks
- The defending party cannot be raided for 2 OOC weeks
Incapacitated Characters During a Raid
Raids are dangerous. Characters should consider fleeing before becoming incapacitated. Incapacitated characters can be captured at the end of a raid if there is no one to defend them.
