Breeding
Any adult/elder character can breed. There is no approval process and players don't need to request before breeding. "Breeding" refers to any means that creates a pup/cub character, regardless of how the pup is created. Breeding can occur in various ways, including traditional breeding with 2 or more partners (of any gender) and pregnancy; or by any magical means that creates offspring, like finding a lost pup, a spontaneous pregnancy, or a pup being spawned out of a magical flower, etc. Players are free to be creative. Because pups can be created by various means, there is no required length for pregnancy. Characters do not need to be the same species to inter-breed, but each offspring will take on the species of only one of their parents (ie 3 wolf pups and 2 lion cubs in the same litter). Adoptions
Do not create accounts for adoptables or pups that do not have players. Only the player intending to play the character should register the account. 'Parents' are responsible for setting up adoptions / tryouts for their pups and deciding who gets to play the pup. Parents can make stipulations for the adoption such as approving designs, names, gender, colors, suggesting magic abilities, etc. If you don't like the terms of an adoptable, don't adopt it. Adopters should make agreements in good-faith and with honesty. However, parents must understand that once a pup is adopted, it fully belongs to the new player. A pup might leave their parent or make choices that a parent doesn't like. Staff will not intervene in disagreements that are simply "I dont like what they're doing with my pup." or "I want the pup to remain with their parent." Staff will intervene only if it is blatantly obvious that a player is breaking an adoption agreement. Some examples (not all inclusive):
Unadopted pups can appear in posts with their parents as NPCs, remain alive off-screen, or be considered deceased (if the parent chooses). Reclaiming Adopted Characters
A parent of a pup can reclaim a pup only if the pup is Inactive and has less than 100 IC posts; or the other player willingly gives the pup back to the parent. When reclaiming or adopting a reclaimed character, you cannot use designs that don't belong to you unless permission from the previous owner is given. Example - if the parent created the design for a pup and then reclaims the pup, the pup could keep their appearance; but if the player of the pup created the design, it would need to be redesigned unless the previous player of the pup agrees the design can be given to the new player. Do not register new accounts for previously registered characters (we want to keep their posts and threadlogs intact). If a previously registered character is reclaimed or needs to be adopted to a new player, the player(s) should contact Staff in the #support channel in our discord. Staff will reset the account so a new player can log in. |
